As a chemical product, flake alkali has strong corrosiveness. What's the difference between flake alkali and sodium silicate? Next, let's take you to know something about it.
1. Flake alkali is a kind of white crystal at room temperature. It is highly corrosive and soluble in water. Its aqueous solution is strongly alkaline, which can turn phenolphthalein red. It is a white translucent flake solid and is the basic chemical material.
2. Flake alkali is the trade name of solid sodium hydroxide (crystal) (you buy chemical reagent, usually not sodium hydroxide, but flake alkali). Sodium hydroxide is also commonly known as caustic soda, caustic soda and caustic soda. It is also known as Costa in Hong Kong because of its other name, causticsoda.
3. Flake alkali is widely used in papermaking, synthetic washing and light textile industries such as soap, viscose fiber, rayon and cotton products, pesticide, dye, rubber and chemical industries, oil drilling, refined petroleum oil and tar refining.
4. As well as national defense industry, machinery industry, wood processing, metallurgy industry, pharmaceutical industry and urban construction. It is also used in the production of chemicals, paper, soap and detergent, rayon and cellophane, alumina from bauxite, mercerization of textiles, water treatment, etc.
The difference between flake alkali and sodium silicate is that their application industries are different, and the industries that need to be used for the different nature of products are not the same. Although they are all chemical products, they are different in nature.
